Data Analyst

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst role at Eli Lilly is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources, including internal databases, external vendors, and public sources
  • Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data visualization tools to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data
  • Interpret and communicate complex data insights to stakeholders, including business leaders, researchers, and cross-functional teams

Business Partnership and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions, such as market trends, customer behavior, and operational efficiency
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improvement

Data Quality and Governance

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation rules, data cleansing processes, and data quality metrics
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Technical Skills and Tools

  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Familiarity with data management tools, such as Excel, Access, or SQL Server
  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, such as regression, clustering, or decision trees

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
