Data Analyst
Job Summary:
The Data Analyst role at Eli Lilly is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Insights
- Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources, including internal databases, external vendors, and public sources
- Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data visualization tools to support business intelligence and analytics
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data
- Interpret and communicate complex data insights to stakeholders, including business leaders, researchers, and cross-functional teams
Business Partnership and Collaboration
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions, such as market trends, customer behavior, and operational efficiency
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improvement
Data Quality and Governance
- Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation rules, data cleansing processes, and data quality metrics
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Technical Skills and Tools
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL
- Familiarity with data management tools, such as Excel, Access, or SQL Server
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, such as regression, clustering, or decision trees
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
