The Program Manager, Data Operations is a critical role at Google that oversees the development and implementation of data operations strategies to drive business growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities
Manage Data Operations Projects: The Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple data operations projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This involves developing project plans, setting priorities, and allocating resources to meet project goals.
Develop Data Operations Strategies: The Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data operations strategies that align with business objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvement, developing business cases, and creating implementation plans.
Lead Data Operations Teams: The Program Manager will lead and manage teams of data operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge required to succeed.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: The Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to ensure data operations projects meet business requirements and are aligned with organizational goals.
Analyze and Optimize Data Operations: The Program Manager will analyze data operations metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing process changes to optimize data operations efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
Technical Skills: The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data operations, with experience in data processing, data warehousing, and data analytics. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL is required.
Business Acumen: The Program Manager must have a strong understanding of business operations and be able to develop business cases and implementation plans that align with business objectives.
Leadership Skills: The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams and managing complex projects, with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
