Software Engineer - Meta Careers
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team at Meta Careers. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software applications that meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications using various programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and knowledge management
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues using various tools and techniques
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge
- Work closely with product management and design teams to ensure software applications meet business requirements and user needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in software development with a focus on large-scale software applications
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot software issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Certifications in software development or related fields
