Job Summary
As a Software Engineer at PayPal, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software applications that meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet business requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and reliable software applications using various programming languages and technologies
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using debugging tools and techniques
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute testing plans and ensure high-quality deliverables Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on large-scale software applications
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and version control systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex technical issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice to Have
Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data analytics
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and Git
- Certification in Scrum or Agile methodologies
