Associate Software Test Engineer at Qualcomm

Job Summary

The Associate Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the quality of Qualcomm’s software products. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, develop test plans and scripts, and execute tests to identify defects and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute tests: Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software products meet quality and functionality requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with software development, product management, and quality assurance teams to identify testing needs, prioritize testing efforts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• Analyze and report test results: Identify and document defects, analyze test results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders on test outcomes and product quality.
• Develop and maintain testing infrastructure: Develop and maintain testing tools, frameworks, and environments to support testing activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies: Participate in training and professional development activities to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and testing methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in software testing or a related field
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, TestNG, or PyUnit
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and testing practices
• Knowledge of software development life cycles and testing methodologies
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and infrastructure
