Job Summary
The Vehicle Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing Tesla vehicles to ensure they are running at optimal performance. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic and Repair
Diagnose and repair Tesla vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical information.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues, including those related to propulsion, charging, and autonomous systems.
- Use technical information and repair manuals to identify and correct problems.

Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers and ensuring their needs are met.
- Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate estimates, and keeping them informed of repair status.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Quality Control
Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet Tesla’s standards.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous training and development to stay up-to-date with new technologies and repair procedures.
Teamwork and Collaboration
Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient and effective service operations.
- Work with service advisors to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion.
- Assist other technicians with complex repairs and share knowledge and expertise.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with electric vehicles.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
